  • each stamped with artist's monogram and 'Alpacca'

  • Teapot: 13.5cm. high by 25cm. wide by 17cm. deep;
  • 5¼in., 10in., 6¾in.
comprising: teapot and cover, milk jug and sugar bowl and cover, each piece with a conical vessel on a circular foot and graded disc handles

Catalogue Note

Margarete Heymann-Löbenstein studied at the Weimar Bauhaus from 1919 - 1921. She established the HaëL-Werkstätte in Marwitz, Germany in 1923 with her future husband Dr. Gustav Löbenstein, where she worked until 1932. Three years later she emigrated to the United Kingdom where she continued her creative work and founded her own workshop in London.
