33.5-cm arched engraved brass dial, chapter ring with Roman numerals signed Lourens Du Chesne Amsterdam, pierced hands and engraved silvered alarm disc, subsidiary seconds and apertures for date, day of the week and month, moonphase with well engraved scenes in the arch, silvered season spandrels, movement with anchor escapement and trip repeating rack Dutch quarter striking on two bells, alarm on a bell, burr walnut veneered case with shaped hood surmounted by a gilt wood atlas and two angels, carved cornice above geometrical front and side frets, glazed break arch door with brass capped pilasters, canted trunk with long shaped door, Europe lenticle, moulded base with curbed knees over canted corners, feet lacking, case distressed
